Dr. Mohammed Lamorde is the Co-Chair of the 7-1-7 Alliance’s Technical Steering GroupWith 25 years of working experience in East and West Africa spanning clinical care, research and systems strengthening, Dr. Lamorde has a proven track record in infectious diseases programming and research. His previous roles include Project Director, 7-1-7 Alliance at Resolve to Save Lives and Head of Department Global Health Security, Infectious Diseases Institute, Makerere University, Uganda. In these positions, Dr. Lamorde has overseen national and international projects to strengthen health security, advanced clinical care conducted clinical and public health research. He has been seconded to the Ministry of Health, Uganda, and Ministry of Health, Nigeria on advisory roles for outbreak management. He is passionate about innovating and partnering with local, country, regional and global stakeholders to enhance preparedness and resilience to health emergencies. Dr. Lamorde is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of London and a Fellow of the East Central and Southern African College of Physicians. He is an Honorary Professor in the School of Medicine Trinity College Dublin and Senior Research Scientist at the Infectious Diseases Institute.
